MANSFIELD -- Donald Clayton Fritz, 83, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Mansfield. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Sunday at White Bluff Chapel, 1072 White Bluff Drive, Whitney with Pastor Terry Crosby and Dr. Charles Wade officiating. Interment: 4:00 p.m. Barry Cemetery, 8637 FM 927, Walnut Springs. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Don was born on June 4, 1933 in Joliet, IL to Clayton Fritz and Freda Graff Fritz. He had a long career as an engineer with LTV. Don loved supporting his churches and was devoted to First Baptist Church of Arlington, First Baptist Church of Mancos, CO, and White Bluff Chapel in Whitney. He held close ties with the SW Colorado region where he vacationed for many years. Don was a member of the Arlington Mineral and Gem Club. His philanthropic interest included the Dallas Symphony, The Dallas Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Betty Fritz; daughters, Catherine Fritz, and Christine Truitt and husband, John; brother, Jack Fritz and wife, Mikka; grandchildren, Cailey Stoerner and husband, Heath, Tyler Truitt, Courtney Truitt and fiance, Brett Gay, and Tanner Truitt; great-grandchildren, Henley Stoerner and Cathan Stoerner.
