ARLINGTON -- Betty Moon Higham, 85, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Alban's Anglican Church, 911 S. Davis Drive, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County or St. Alban's Anglican Church. Betty was born April 5, 1931, in Leicester-Leicestershire, England, to George Henry Moon and Lydia Tomkins Moon. She survived the many bombing raids of Leicester during World War II. Betty was a secretary at LTV for eight years with the Missiles and Space Division. She was a member of Daughters of the British Empire, St. Alban's Altar Guild, Aged to Perfection, Quilting Club and Meals on Wheels. She loved taking walks at Veteran's Park and Randol Mill Park with Keith and their beloved dog, Jessie. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing and various styles of music. Betty loved returning home to England, visiting friends and relatives, European travel and cruising - her favorite being the Alaskan cruises. She loved their annual family reunion at Lake Ouachita, Ark. Family gatherings at home were very important to her. Survivors: Loving husband, Keith; their children, Roger and wife, Janis, Peter and wife, Karen, Michael and wife, Maureen and Lindsey Jane and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Kristy and husband Eric, Benjamin and Fiancee, Jessica, Kelsey, Serge, Jack, Andrew, Spencer, Gabriele, Amanda and Katrina and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Colton and Emerson; and sister, Verrill Beniston of England.
