ARLINGTON -- Alice Riviere Moore, 81, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, in Arlington. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: Johnson Station Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E. Mayfield Road, Arlington, Texas, 76014. Alice was born on Oct. 17, 1934, in Tyler to Frank Riviere and Dollie Davis Riviere. She was a member of a pioneer Texas and Arlington family and descendant of Paul Revere and Jefferson Davis. She graduated from Tyler Junior College where she was a member of the Apache Belles and a lady in waiting in the Tyler Rose Festival. Alice married Kenneth W. Moore on Oct. 11, 1953. She was a longtime employee of the Arlington Independent School District where she served as school secretary at South Davis Elementary and Miller Elementary for over 34 years. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Ken W. Moore; son, David W. Moore and wife, Janet; daughters, Becky White and husband, Rick, and Mollie Moore; sister, Carolyne Grosserode and husband, Jim; grandchildren, April, Polly, Adam, Wes, Nic, Abby and Caitlyn; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
