Sandra Anthony Angleton, Texas Obituary

Sandra Anthony

Sandra Sweet English Anthony On Monday, October 10, 2016, Sandi heard the small, sweet voice of her Savior whisper “welcome home my child”. Truly she entered a whole new life that was without tears, pain or suffering. After being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013, her hunger for God’s word and His love became stronger. God allowed her to continue her life on earth according to His divine will and purpose as she fought with courage, strength and living way beyond the time frame estimated. One of her favorite Bible verses was Isaiah 43:2-3. Sandi began her life on May 19, 1939 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, born to Winifred and George English. She married her soul mate and best friend, Ronald Edward Anthony, on December 30, 1960 and began another chapter of her life. In 1967, Sandi and Ron moved to Angleton, establishing long lasting roots, raising 5 children and 1 grandchild. Sandi enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet, knitting and attending Bible studies with her friends at Northway Baptist Church. Sandi and Ron served on the Angleton Area Emergency Corp and were active in their church. Welcoming Sandi’s arrival into Heaven were her husband, Ronald, sons Steve and Andy, her mother, 2 brothers, her sister and one granddaughter, Erin. She was blessed with a large family that she leaves on earth. Daughters Pamela Berge and husband Richard, Rebecca Stover, Bobbie Russell and husband John; grandchildren Karissa Schneider, Crystal Martinez, Lyndi Savage and husband Trey, Andy Anthony Jr. and wife Liz, Jennifer Auer and husband Chris, Kurt Russell, Holly Anthony, Haley Anthony and Brad McNeil. She was also blessed with 16 great grandchildren. A memorial to celebrate her life is Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Northway Baptist Church on Buchta Rd. in Angleton. The family requests donations made in her name to the church in lieu of flowers.
