Michael Wayne Berg “Mike” February 28, 1957 ~ August 7, 2016 Michael “Mike” Wayne Berg passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at his home in Angleton at the age of 59. He was born on February 28, 1957 in Wharton, Texas to Murrell & Joy Berg and moved to Angleton, Texas as a child where he became a lifelong resident. He enjoyed spending time with his family and longtime friends. Mike enjoyed BBQ’ing, baking and watching football. Mike is preeded in death by his parents; Murrell & Joy Berg, brothers; Donnie Berg and Alton “Bubba” Berg and his brother-in-law C.J. Albair. Left to cherish his memory are his children; Jeff Berg (wife, Cheryl), Julie Berg and Crystal Gekler, grandchildren; Kirksey, Mike, Dakota and Zane, sisters; Glenda Pyeatt, Susan Albair, Joy (husband, Bobby) Bowers and Donna Edwards, special friends; Kirk Bennett and Dean Borne, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Palms Funeral Home. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation beginning at 9:00 until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Palms Funeral Home to help with Mike’s funeral expenses.
