Jospehine Harmon Obituary

Josephine Edwina Harmon January 3, 1944 ~ June 19, 2016 Josephine Edwina Harmon was born January 3rd 1944, and passed through this life on June 19, 2016. She was at peace in her heart and with the love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Josephine is a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, even a great-great grandmother. Josephine was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to Margaret and Harry Pflum. She is the sister to Patty Glasso, Sally Bucholtz and Ben Pflum. She is preceded in death by her sister Helena Long and her brother Harry Pflum. Her 6 children and their spouses are: (Son) Allen and Billie Ranaldo, (Daughter) Angie and Ronnie Kolmansberger, (Son) Robert and Connie Ranaldo, (Son) William and Kim Wilson, (Son) Robert and Gina Wilson, (Daughter) Faith and Anthony Stortz. Josephine has 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Josephine was witty and had a sense of humor. If you asked her ”How are you feeling today?” her most likely response would be “With my hands, of course”. She enjoyed painting and art. Josephine enjoyed watching TV with the likes of the famous “Kentucky Derby”. Along with a good hat day might bring an enjoyable afternoon nap. This nap took place even if she just had her cup of coffee. She loved to have visits from the friends of all her children while they were growing up. As we all grew older, Josephine welcomed the visits from her children with a warm smile on her face and sparkles in her eyes. Those visits usually meant a lunch or dinner out of the home. She always did enjoy the food when somebody else did the cooking, especially when her children cooked the meal. Along with those visits came sweet surprises of maybe in soda, candy or cookies. The holiday season may even bring the likes of the Italian cookies “pizzelles” or pumpkin pie. Josephine would never pass up her favorite candy bar, the “MilkyWay”. “Mom, you will be missed daily by everybody. It is you who started this family and we are all thankful for that. Go in peace and we all love you”
