“Jim” James V. Jensen, 82, of Lake Jackson, Texas went on to be with the Lord on July 4, 2016 in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was born on September 5, 1933 to Jens Augustus & Maude (Johnson) Jensen in Houston, Texas. An intimate Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 9 am at the Angleton Cemetery located at 328 Cemetery Rd Angleton, Texas with D.O. Foster officiating and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 9am at Northway Baptist Church located at 1421 Buchta Rd Angleton, Texas with Clay Spinks officiating. Jim moved to the Brazosport area in 1964 from Houston, Texas. He was a believer, a husband, a father, a provider, and a leader to say the least. He had a love for singing, cooking, eating and sharing anything with anyone. Contagiously, Jim demonstrated a generous and sacrificial love for people which was caught and spread by and through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his children; Van (Bubba) Jensen (wife, Georgia), Terry Jensen (wife, Lauri), Lynn Helton, Carroll Jensen (wife, Tammy), Randy Jensen (wife, Randi), and David Jensen (wife, Shirley), and 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Spinks) Jensen, and 6 sisters and 6 brothers.
