Alicia G. Martinez January 8, 1943 ~ July 16, 2016 Alicia G. Martinez, 73, of Angleton, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on July 16, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born on January 8, 1943 to Nicholas Lopez and Esperanza (Ramirez) Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Palms Funeral Home with Father Victor Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Alicia married the love of her life, Rafael Martinez, Sr. on November 14, 1964, together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Left to cherish Alicia’s memory is her husband; Rafael Martinez, Sr.,her children; Rafael Martinez, Jr. (Ina) and Laura Jo Martinez, her two grandsons; Joshua (Monica) and Eric Martinez, her great-grandchildren; Julianna and Aubryanna Martinez her mother, Esperanza Garza, her brother, Chano Garza, her sisters; Mari Garza and Zulema Gomez (Rey) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alicia was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas Lopez Garza and her grandmother, Maria Castillo Cantu, her two sisters; Cindy Garza and Celia Gutierrez, and her brother, Roberto Garza Services lovingly fulfilled by the dedicated staff at Palms Funeral Home 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515 (979)849-4343.
