Ammie Clark 85, of Abilene, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016. A Graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Rogers Cemetery with Pastor Keith Clifton officiating under the direction of North’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St. Mrs. Clark was born September 18, 1930 in Holder, Texas to James and Emma (Wright) Dewbre. She married Tommy Clark on December 28, 1951. She worked for Timex and retired after twenty-two years of service. After retirement, she was self-employed as a bookkeeper for her husband’s locksmith business. She loved riding her horses, hunting and tending to her cows. She was often called “Annie Oakley” due to her excellent marksmanship. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Clark, brother-in-law, Micky Clark and wife Becky and her special friend and caregiver, Janet Lyons. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ben Rickey Boys Ranch or Hendrick Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com.
