Mr. Marcus Potts “Mr. P” went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday July 20, 2016. At his side was his daughter Myesha of Odessa. A service of praise and celebration will be held Monday July 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the Antioch CME Church. A visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8pm at Dove Funeral Home. Marcus was born June 17, 1944 in Abilene Texas to Mr. and Mrs. John Potts. He attended the all black schools, Woodson elementary, and Carter G. Woodson High School. Mr. P, also served in the United States Army. Marcus accepted the lord at an early age. He served faithfully under different pastorship. Mr. P had several jobs during his lifetime detailing automobiles, landscaping, and janitorial services. He loved to cook for family and friends. Left to cherish his memories are daughter Myesha Dunn (Calvin) of Odessa, Grandaughter Myrakal Potts, grandson Markee Ashford, Son Russell Hammond (DeeDee) and his long-time special lady Brenda Green of California, Sister Linda Coleman of Abilene, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends. Preceeding him in death are his parents, two sisters, three brothers, and son Keon Potts
