Lillie Stafford-Ellis transitioned from this earthly life into eternity at her home, Sunday August 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 3, 2016 at 11 am at the Galilee Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby King as the Eulogist. A visitation will be held Friday September 2 from 6-8pm also at the church. Lillie Ellis was born in Dekalb TX, on December 23, 1950 to Lank and Addie Stafford. She grew up in Dekalb, later to move to West Texas. She attended Munday Dunbar School. She then moved to Abilene, and worked many years private sitting and as a house keeper. Lille was preceded in death by her parents, Lank and Addie Stafford, Ex-husband, brother Robert Stafford, daughter Sheila Ellis, Granchildren Tyree Cotton, and Denise Fletcher, and great grandchildren Lanazial Walker, Jazzilynn Haden, and Jesilynn Haden. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Thomas Ellis, son Tommy Ellis, four daughters Delores Stafford, Mary Ellis, Lisa Polk (Donnie) and Renee Crosby (Dwayne), siblings Charlie Cooks of Munday, Connie Dockins of Munday Mary Wyatt of Munday, Nora Stafford of Knox City, Lela Douglas of Abilene, Lank Stafford Jr. of Seymour, Willie Mae Dalbert of Abilene, 15 Grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, extended family and many friends.
