Lilian Van Hooser Hale, age 84, of Sparta, Tennessee died Sunday July 24, 2016 at her home. Born in Manchester, England, Lilian lived in McMinnville, Tennessee where she was married to Gedion Nelson Van Hooser, who preceded her in death in 1993. She worked at Cooks in McMinnville, Tennessee in retail. She moved to Sparta where she married Herbert Hale. She is the daughter of the late Edward Willingham and Emily Edwards Willingham of Manchester, England. Ms. Hale was a member of The First Baptist Church of Sparta. She loved her church and her church family. She is survived by; Daughters, Lisa Blair and Bruce of London, Kentucky Linda Cooper of Chattanooga, Tennessee Lesley Faust and Sonny of Hamilton, Georgia Sister, May Outten of Manchester, England Brother, Edward and Minnie Willingham of Manchester, England along with several nieces and nephews and life long friends. She is also survived by her grandchildren, whom she loved very much; Keeley Hitchcock and Bryce John Cooper and Katie Emily May and Darrin Sarah Cooper MaCall Cooper and Michael Garde Paul Sutton Caleb Blair Christopher Nelson Bledsoe and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Sparta First Baptist Church with Brad Walker officiating. Family will receive friends after 10am on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in Warren County at Shellsford Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.oaklawnmemorial.com
