Thelma Suffridge

Fontella Suffridge – age 91 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2016. Fontella was a lifelong member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Big Ridge State Park after 40 plus years of service. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Big Ridge Home Demonstration Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, Swan Suffridge; son, Gary Suffridge; and parents, Scott and Stella Sharp. Fontella is survived by daughter, Glenda Jean Wilkes; son, Scott (Donna) Suffridge; grandchildren, Courtney and Todd Cluxton, Amanda (Alex) Woodard, Morgan Suffridge and Kevin (Christie) Suffridge; and great grandchildren, Teagen and Hayden Cluxton. Love and gratitude to her caregivers, Lynette Wolfenbarger, Connie Radford and Becky Dye. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Burney Hutchison officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. to proceed in procession to New Loyston Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. interment service.
