Norma (Higbee) Nickles – age 95 of Washburn, Tennessee formerly of Scullville, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2016. She is a member of Dante Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee and a former member of Asbury Methodist Church in English Creek, New Jersey. She retired from New Jersey Bell as a telephone operator. Norma is preceded in death by husband, Leon Stoy Nickles; and parents, Norris and Flora (Peterson) Higbee. She is survived by son, James (Carol) Nickles of Kissimmee, Florida; daughters, Mary Anne (John) Cabage of Washburn, Tennessee and Karen (Walt Taninatz) Keeney of Pitman, New Jersey; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel in Maynardville, Tennessee. The funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Phillip Murphy officiating. Interment to follow in Cabbage Cemetery, Washburn, Tennessee.
