Jefford Sweet

Jefford S. Sweet – age 66 of New Tazewell, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was a member of American Missionary Baptist Church in Knoxville. He is preceded in death by his father, George Sweet; and brother, Rome Sweet. Jefford is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susie Sweet; mother, Alice Sweet; sons, Hank Sweet, Bruce Holt, and Jeffrey Sweet; daughter, Teresa; several grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Matthew Cooke officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Big Barren Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
