Billy Cox

Billy Joe Cox, Sr.-age 75 of Maynardville went to be with his Lord Monday morning, October 17, 2016 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and was a U. S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by infant son, Steven Lynn Cox; parents, Porter and Roberta Cox. Survivors: wife of 55 years, Betty L. Cox; daughter, Sue Graves and husband, Troy; sons, Billy Joe Cox, Jr. and wife, Laura Sue; Jeffery Cox and wife, Cynthia Gail. 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson. Brothers, Earl Cox, Charlie Cox and Jimmy Cox; sisters, Dovie Smith, Kathy Jones and Mickey Nicley. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp, Rev. Fred Goodson officiating with music by The McClure Family. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Thursday to proceed to Cox Cemetery, Maynardville for Military Graveside Service at 11 a.m. Rites by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: grandsons. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
