Betty Lou Ray (Barnickle/Tilghman) age 72. Born May 29, 1944 in Lawrenceburg, TN to her parents Dan H. Ray and Milissie J. Wilson. Betty passed away at 8:30 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN on August 16, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca L. Tilghman, 4 step-children, LeeAnne Dees, Coleman R. Tilghman Jr., Derrick R. Tilghman, Staci S. Tilghman; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Tilghman, Angela Fortner(Charles), Kelsey Shelton (Sam), Dalton Jones (Cassidy), Christina Tilghman; 4 great-grandchildren, Haley, Holden, Christopher, Cole; brother, Wilburn H. Ray (Margie); sister, Wila Dean Stinson; countless cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated mother, wife, nanny, sister, friend and homemaker. She will be cremated and an informal memorial will be scheduled at a later time for family and close friends.
