Ruby Price Gladden, 70, wife of Joe H. Gladden, died Monday, July 18, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born December 4, 1945, in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Walter Price and the late Lillie Twitty Price. She was a member of Autumn Woods Christian Church and was a retired seamstress. Survivors include her husband; four children, Shamokin Gladden (Adina), Joey Gladden (April), Carolyn Morris (Jimmy), and Tony Gladden (Chrissy); eight grandchildren, Austin, Abigail, Autumn, Peyton, Lily, Tristen, Ethan, and Rylee; and a sister, Lessie Broome (Wayne). She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Price and Roy Price. Funeral services will be held 4 P.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tim Brown and the Rev. Mack Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James T. Morris, III, Austin Gladden, Wayne Broome, Brent Burnette, Stanley McLeod, and Stanley McLeod, III. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
