Gaffney -- Nancy Alice Gayle Parker Parris Jude, 73, formerly of 111 Cypress Drive, passed away Wednesday, May 18th, 2016, at Mary Black Health System - Gaffney. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Sylvanus Parker and Louise Pearl Bowman Parker. Mrs. Jude retired as a seamstress and was a longtime listener and supporter of Dr. David Jeremiah. Nancy loved children and would crochet hats, scarves, sweaters, and blankets for children that she knew and she was a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for over twenty years. Surviving Mrs. Jude are a son, Roy Oliver Lee Parris, Jr. and wife, Tracy, of Spartanburg; two daughters, Melissa Carol Curtis and husband, Marty, of Gaffney and Rhonda Parris McMahel and husband, Bryce, of Shelby; two brothers, Ronnie Parker and wife, Judy, of Gaffney and Billy Parker and wife, Linda, of San Angelo, TX; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jude was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Oliver Lee Parris, Sr.; two daughters, Hester Nancy Jane Parris and Carol Vicki "Roudy" Rayfield; and a granddaughter, Thea N. Sybounheuang. The family invites friends to drop in at the family home at 111 Cypress Drive on Friday, May 20th, 2016, from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm or on Saturday, May 21st, 2016 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will be at the residence.
