Kenneth Mullinax

Kings Mountain -- Kenneth Wayne Mullinax, 74, passed away Monday, June 20th, 2016, at the Testa Family Hospice House. Born in Blacksburg, he was the husband of Iva Jean McDaniel Mullinax and the son of the late Wilburn Wofford and Beatrice Ramsey Mullinax. Mr. Mullinax retired from textiles and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Kings Mountain. Mr. Mullinax was also part of the National Guard for seven years. Surviving Mr. Mullinax, in addition to his wife, are three brothers, Roger Mullinax of Grover, Eddie Mullinax of Blacksburg, and Ricky Mullinax of Blacksburg, and two sisters, Sandy McKinney of McCormick, SC and Jennifer Peterson of Blacksburg. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Mullinax, and a sister, Shirley Bennett. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Bishop Ben Poole, Bishop Stan Shaw, Rev. Harold Beam, Mr. Eddie Mullinax, and Mrs. Angela Greason officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery. Wesley Moore, Wayne Jackson, Tim Jackson, Roger Greason, Harvey Allen, and Leroy White will serve as pallbearers.
