Virginia M. (Millmather) Dolce, 90, beloved companion of Roland “Pep” Pepin, of Al Harvey Rd., Stonington, passed away peacefully in the presence of her immediate family at L&M Hospital in New London on Thursday, August 18, 2016, after a short illness. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Helene Millmather. She was the wife of the late Ralph Dolce who predeceased her. After raising four children she went back to school and received her Master’s Degree in teaching. Virginia worked as a School Teacher in Business Administration for Ponaganset High School for many years. Virginia was a world traveler. She followed her Navy husband across America and the Philippines. Then with Pep she took seventy-five trips worldwide. When at home Virginia’s greatest interests were her family, flower gardening and reading. She was a member of the Westerly Senior Center for many years. In addition to Pep and his family of two children and two grandchildren, she leaves four children, Michael R. Dolce of Rutland, VT, David E. Dolce of Jamestown, RI, Susan Pollock of Stonington, CT and Helene Dolce of Foster, RI. Virginia is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helene Hopkins Luther and Ruth Grissom. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A private, graveside Funeral Service in Chepachet, RI will be held at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
