Thomas Hug

Thomas John Christian Hug of Ashaway, RI, beloved son of Jennifer I. Hug also of Ashaway and Thomas H. Hug of Hurst, TX, passed away in Charlestown, RI on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the age of 21. Thomas worked as an Electronics Salesman for Staples since graduating from Chariho High School in 2013. He was also currently attending URI, studying music education specializing in Flamenco Guitar. Tom enjoyed communicating with people, electronically learning many different languages. He played the drums, sax, trumpet, and Bass guitar. In addition to his parents he leaves his paternal grandparents, James and Diane Hug of Peoria, AZ; and his maternal grandparents, Gayle Agostinoni of Middletown, RI and David A. Gleason of Virginia Beach, VA. Thomas also leaves his special girlfriend Jennifer Hammond of Narragansett; an aunt Stephanie Gleason of Lexington Park, MD; and three uncles, Scott Gleason of Virginia Beach, VA, Jim Hug of Peoria, AZ and Robert Hug of Tulsa, OK. Visiting hours will be held today, Friday, from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, RI. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10am at Open Door Baptist Church, 475 Pequot Trail in Stonington, CT. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will follow at First Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton, RI.
