<p>Bobbie Lee Abarr</p><p>Bobbie Lee, 76, of Billings left the arms of her family and entered into the arms of God on March 30, 2018.</p><p>She was born October 21, 1941 in Billings, MT, the first child of Bob and Doodle (Mellis) Nelson. She attended Garfield and Billings Senior High. Bobbie began working as a legal secretary after school when she was a sophomore in high school in the afternoons. She began working at Dunn &amp; Bradstreet in 1960 and worked there for 16 years. Bobbie then returned to her love of being a legal secretary for Ken Peterson at Peterson &amp; Schofield for 25 plus years.</p><p>Bobbie gave her heart to God and became a born again Christian the summer before her sophomore year in high school which drove her to serve God. She felt driven to influence as many lives as she could to love the Lord with all of their heart, soul and mind. She began teaching Sunday School her sophomore year in high school and continued doing so for 40 plus years including being the you leader and later becoming the midweek kids program director and many more years of service in the kids midweek program where ever they could use her. Her personal quote, “Hopefully, I have changed some lives and hearts for Christ.”</p><p>Bobbie married Joe H. Abarr May 28, 1960 and became a devoted wife for nearly 58 years of marriage. She shared many adventures with Joe from camping, fishing, skiing, golfing, wintering in Arizona and enjoying their family whether it was for a family members’ event, a family meal or just time together as a family.</p><p>Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Doodle and great grandson, Josiah.</p><p>Survivors include her husband, Joe Abarr; daughter, Jolene Music; granddaughters, Janae VanCleve, JoKell Streets and Jadrian Skarda; brother, Chuck Nelson; sisters, Trish Peterson and Edna Onstad; great “J” grandchildren, Joseph, Jodie, JaeLee, Jodin, Jennessy, Jazmyn and Jewelz; many cousins, extended family, friends and “The GOLF Ladies”. We will all miss her dearly!</p><p>Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (NIV)</p><p>A special “Thank You” to all of the staff at St. Vincent Healthcare and Compassus Hospice who assisted with Bobbie’s end of life care! You are all greatly appreciated!</p><p>A memorial service will be held 10:00am Friday, April 6, at Smith West Chapel. Inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
