Wayne Lash, 57, of Wyomissing, passed away July 19, 2016, in Asheville, NC. Born in Reading, he was a son of Sylvia (Monde) Lash, Wyomissing and the late Norman Lash. . He was the husband of Theresa Michele (Coughlin) Lash, whom he married on June 13, 1988. Wayne was a graduate of Wyomissing High School where he was a standout basketball player. He attended Franklin and Marshall College as well as Penn State University. He served in the United States Navy and was a nuclear reactor operator on the U.S.S. Bainbridge. Wayne was employed by Eaton Corporation as a lead electrical engineer. In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two children: Skyler Cameron Lash and Dakota Killian Lash; six dogs; three brothers: Honorable Judge Scott E. Lash, Cumru Township; Brian E., husband of Melisa Lash, Shillington; Clark E., husband of Tracy Lash, Leola; and one sister, Roxanne E., wife of Daniel Deeds, Mohnton. Seven nephews; four nieces; two great-nephews and two great-nieces also survive him. Wayne played basketball for the GSB and Adams Chemical in West Reading Summer Basketball League. He played for Lower Alsace FC in the 35 and over league as well as Doug Young builders in the Mifflin League. He also played in the Pike Basketball League and several other leagues. Wayne coached youth basketball in the Wyomissing Area Basketball Association League. He was a wonderful, loving husband and magnificent father. We cannot imagine life without him. Thank you for everything you've done for us. Wayne has formulated the men that our sons have become today thru his stellar guidance and hands on approach, and by setting an exemplary work ethic. Sail on ...Big Daddy Lash. We love you so much! Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 4 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.
