Obituary
Salvatore F. Raccuglia, Sr., 70, of Temple, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 11, 2016 in his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Angela M. (Rauso) Raccuglia, with whom he shared 50 years of love and marriage. Born in Aidone, Sicily, he was the son of the late Filippo and Grace (Guistra) Raccuglia. He was an Army veteran serving from 1967 to 1969 spending 11 months in Vietnam in 1968/69. He attained the rank of sergeant. He was the owner of Pizza Como and the Vineyard Restaurant in Temple for 36 years, retiring in 2012. He was a family-man who took care of his loved ones with his talents as carpenter, electrician, plumber and upholster. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Philip J. Raccuglia, husband of Jillyn, Temple and Salvatore Raccuglia, Jr., husband of Michelle Wyomissing. There are six grandchildren, Shelby, Angela, Salvatore, Joseph, Anna, and Thomas. There is one brother, Joseph Raccuglia, husband of Mary and two sisters Maria (Raccuglia) Davies, widow of the late Robert and Angela (Raccuglia) Fiore, wife of Frank all of Temple. There are several nieces and nephews, Bree (Davies) Kantner George Fiore, Philip Fiore, Francesca (Fiore) Lausch, Jennifer Raccuglia, and Joseph Raccuglia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Chapel of St. George Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:00am. Entombment will follow with military honors.
