Christy Hatzas, 87, passed away August 10, 2016 in his Kenhorst residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Nickolas and Aphrodite (Karaces) Hatzas.

Christy was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was employed by Arrow International until his retirement.

Christy was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Wyomissing.

He is survived by his two nieces, Marian Cheri and Sharon K. Cheri, one nephew, Nickolas J. Hatzas, fiancee of Denice Carroll.

Christy is predeceased by his siblings, George Hatzas, Mary Cheri, Lewis Hatzas, Helen Hatzas and James Hatzas; and two nephews, George Cheri and Lewis Cheri.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E Wyomissing Blvd, Reading, with burial to follow at Charles Evans Cemetery.
