Martin Michael “Marty” Duke, 69, of Clarence, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Born on December 15, 1946, in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late John and Anna Durachko Duke. On June 10, 1972, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Snow Shoe, he married Dorothy E. Dugal, who survives at home. Marty is a 1964 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School, 1967 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, earning a degree as Electronic Technician. He was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Church in Clarence. Marty was a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Supelco, Inc. in Pleasant Gap. In August, he would have celebrated 36 years of service. Marty enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid hunter, trapper, and re-loader. He loved spending time at his camp, “Big Sandy Inn”, with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, swimming, gardening, reading, and evening rides out the Ridge Road. Marty is survived by his wife of 43 years, his daughter, Dorothy Susan McCloskey and her husband, Dan, of Clarence. Nothing made Marty happier than spending time with his two grandchildren, Matthew McCloskey, ”his Little Marty” and Madison McCloskey, “his blonde tornado” both of Clarence. Also surviving is his brother in-law, Mike Dugal of Lancaster, sister in-law, JoAnne Marcinko and her husband, Ed, of Clarence, nieces and nephews; Ashlee Summerson and her husband, Rob, Alyssa & Jacob Dugal and Evan & Braden Summerson, and his good buddy, Bob Paloskey. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8PM with a rosary service at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 11am, at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Church in Clarence with Father Mark R. Reid officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe.
