Helen A. Hall, 88, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on July 9, 1927, in Moshannon, she was the daughter of the John and Anne V. Yakich Billy. On November 25, 1951, she married George A. Hall, who passed away on January 7, 1981. Helen is a 1946 graduate of Cooper High School. She was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Chapel in Snow Shoe. Helen worked at Penn State University as a Seamstress, retiring in 1991 after 21 years of service. Before Penn State, she was employed as a secretary for Hall’s Brothers in Snow Shoe. Helen was the last of her generation. She was a member of the Snow Shoe VFW Auxiliary and the Alter Rosary Society. Helen is survived by her two sons; George L. Hall of Boalsburg and James E. Hall and is wife, Stephanie, of Centre Hall, two daughters; Dianne M. Hamilton and her husband, Ronald, of Philipsburg and Susan D. Rader also of Philipsburg. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren, Carrie Hall, Amanda Hall, Jeremy Hamilton, Benjamin Hamilton, Rebecca Hamilton, Brittany Hamilton, James Hall, and Emily Jacobson, and five great grandchildren; Elizabeth and Alex Hamilton, Adrienne and Zander Smarcz, and Isabelle Hall. Along with her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by one son, John A. Hall, who passed away on March 17, 1977, one daughter in-law, Margaret Hall, one grandson, Kevin Hall, five brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11am at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Chapel, 204 S. 4th St., Snow Shoe. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe.
