Dolores Mary Burns Oswalt Padisak, 95, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on September 25, 1920, in Snow Shoe, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan Hill Burns. In June 1942, in Virginia, she married Robert L. Oswalt who passed in March 1968. In September 1969, in New York, she married Andrew “Brandy” Padisak, who passed away in July 1986. Dolores was a 1940 graduate of the Snow Shoe High School, where she was a player on the basketball team for four years. She worked at the Bellefonte Hospital as a ward clerk on the medical floor and annex. After moving to Buffalo, NY, she worked for the Father Baker’s Boys Home as a House Mother until retiring in 1990 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed her job and was loved by many of the boys there. Dolores was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Chapel in Snow Shoe. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and spending time with her family. Dolores is survived by her only daughter, Roberta Lee (Oswalt) Butterworth and her husband, Frank, of Snow Shoe. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Deena Hubert and her husband, Darrell, of Bellefonte, Frank “Bill” Butterworth, Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Clarence, Brian Butterworth and his wife, Jamie, of Clarence, Troy Butterworth and his wife, Jennifer, of Philipsburg, and Robert Butterworth and his wife, Melissa, of Clarence. Also surviving Dolores are her 13 grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husbands, Delores was preceded in death by five brothers and one grandson, Preston Butterworth. All services will be private. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe.
