Dale E. Sheffer, 76, of Pine Glen, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on September 26, 1939, in Dover PA, he was the son of the late Curvin A. and Ida Kling Sheffer. Dale attended the Dover High School. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was enlisted in the US Army where he earned the rank of SP4. He was employed at Hall’s Hardware for many years where he repaired small engines. After retirement, he continued with his small engine repairs from his garage. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising farm animals. He was known for his woodworking abilities. He treasured the time spent with his family. He loved to watch western shows on TV, along with the Walton’s and Little House on the Prairie Dale is survived by his common law wife of 30yrs, Diane Wilson at home, seven sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one brother. Along with his parents, Dale was preceded in death by one son and four sisters. Visitation with family will be on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe.
