Patricia Beddia

Patricia J. Beddia, 65, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born Monday, June 11, 1951 in Fairfield, IA, she was a daughter of the late James W. Yardley and Philora Alda Ruggles Yardley, of Fairfield, IA. Patricia was a 1969 graduate of Fairfield High School, and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Parsons College both in Fairfield, IA. She was a teacher for the Bellefonte and Bald Eagle Nittany school districts. She also instructed at EDS for many years before becoming a foster mom for Children’s Home of York. She was a member of the Roxbury United Methodist Church where she was the Choir Director, Pianist, and Organist. Patricia was a member of Kindly K-9 in Chambersburg, enjoyed collecting angels, and Dalmatians, and loved to read. Surviving is her husband of 45 years, Rev. Peter M. Beddia, two sons; Jason M. (wife Tonya) Beddia, of Gardners, and Brandon A. (wife Julie) Beddia, of New Bloomfield, two daughters; Alison L. (fiancé Eric) Beddia, of Lancaster, and Kristen E. B. (husband Adam) Snyder, of Fredericksburg, VA, one brother, Ron (wife Janet) Yardley, one sister, Janice (husband Randy) Baird, of Duluth, MN, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Newburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kraig L. Faust and Rev. Terry Robinson officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium and also one hour prior to the service on Friday in the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grove Cancer Center 755 Norland Avenue, Suite 100, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to SpiriTrust Lutheran Care & Hospice 2700 Luther drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
