Jack Shoap

Jack W. Shoap, 77, of Chambersburg, died in the early hours of Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services in Chambersburg. Born July 6, 1938 in Newburg, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Thursa Shoap Peters. Jack was a member of the Christian Life Church, Chambersburg. He retired from the Chambersburg School District where he worked as a custodian with 17 years of service. Jack enjoyed auctions, flea markets, and hunting. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Baer Shoap, six daughters; Deborah Snouffer, Newville, Vicki (William) Gleckler, Fayetteville, Kim (Melvin) Binkley, Chambersburg, Cindy (Paul) Jugan, Anchorage, AK, Jackie Busey, Harrisburg, and Donna (Marlin) Cump, Enola, one son, Don Busey, Mechanicsburg, three sisters; Verna, Shirley, and Twila, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Virginia, and Betty, and one brother, John. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Steve Barnett officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Life Church, 1400 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
