Harold E. Grove, 87, of Newburg, died Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Orrstown Personal Care Home. Born Saturday, December 8, 1928 in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County. Harold was a son of the late Roy E. and Ruth C. Hull Grove. He was a member of the Newburg First Church of God. Harold was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal E. Barrick Grove who died January 28, 2008. Four siblings, Doris, Donald, Kenneth, and Richard Grove are also deceased. Harold is survived by a son, Charles “Bill” (Donna) Grove of Newburg, five grandchildren, Chris (Shelly) Grove, Melanie Grove, and Melissa (Justin) Myers all of Newburg, Mandy Kann and Melinda Benner of Shippensburg, 15 great grandchildren, a brother, Warren J. Grove, and a sister, Carleane E. Heberlig both of Shippensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Newburg First Church of God at 10:00 a.m. with The Rev. William Myers officiating. Burial will be held in the Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services in church.
