Billie Jo Shields

Billie Jo Shields, 37, of Newburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Tuesday, October 24, 1978 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of William C. and Esther M. Breon Singer of Newburg. Billie Jo worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at Green Ridge Village in Newville. She was a member of the Newville First Church of God. She loved the outdoors, including, hunting, mudding, 4-wheeling, and camping. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Shields who died May 28, 2016 and her maternal and paternal grandparents. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters; Kilee M. Singer, and Sara E. Shields, both of Newburg, one grandson Kaedyn L. Gossert, whom she loved and cherished, one sister, Lisa Negley, of Newville, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, with the Rev. Wayne A. Good officiating. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery.
