B. Winifred Weller, 88, life-long resident of Newburg, departed this life on the morning of Sunday, August 14, 2016, at her home. She was born on January 1, 1928, in Newburg, a daughter of the late Harold and Gladys Fogelsanger Davidson. She married Jay J. Weller on August 30, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2003. Winifred worked along-side her husband, helping operate the family dairy farm since 1958 and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church of McKinney, Newburg. She is survived by her son, Allen L. “Doc” Weller and wife Linda of Newburg; her daughter, Nancy Jean Sprenkle and husband Carroll of St. Thomas; five grandchildren, Tanya Forrester and husband Cory of Shippensburg, Cathy Perez of St. Thomas, Jason Weller and wife Stephanie of Newburg, Julie Conner and husband Mike of Newburg, Janelle Lloyd and husband Will of Newburg; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Sara Myers and husband Jack of Chambersburg; one brother, Donald Davidson and wife Vesta of Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Winifred was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Her funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Newburg. Rev. John A. Ile, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the church. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
