Lottie Fretz Obituary

Lottie M. Anthony-Fretz, 91, of Hereford, passed away on August 13, 2016. Born July 1, 1925, in Mocanaqua, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Marianna (Chym) Yablonski. She was the widow of second husband, LeRoy Fretz, and first husband, Raymond Anthony. Over the years, Lottie was a hostess at several restaurants, including the former Dinner Bell Restaurant on Route 100, Boyertown. She was member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Shickshinny, PA for many years, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and did volunteer work at the local thrift store. She retired as a Senior Nursing Assistant working in Senior Care. An avid reader who especially enjoyed mysteries, Lottie also liked gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Before her husband LeRoy passed, she loved singing duets with him while he played old country tunes on his guitar. She was also a great fan of 60s rock n’ roll. Lottie was quite a character; just ask anyone who knew her. She knew how to have fun! Lottie had you laughing in no time whether you were a friend, one of her doctors, or just a store employee. Always the life of the party, her sense of humor and happy disposition will be missed by family and friends alike. Surviving are children: Patton Anthony, of Mechanicsburg; Evelyn Chmielewski, of Pennsburg; and Gwen McGilloway, of Lansdale; a sister, Anna Eustice, of Millville, PA; grandchildren: Donna, Caroline, Heather, Mary, Christine, Ann, Robert, and Ali; 9 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by a son, David; and siblings: Stanley, Vincent, Regina, and Joanna. Services will be at 11 AM on Friday, August 19, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg where all are invited to a viewing from 10 AM. Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested for the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite #150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
