Elsie Mae Pfleiger, 90, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2016. She was the wife of the late Russell C. Pfleiger. Born in Upper Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Flora A. (Rummel) Young. She worked at the former Pennsburg Clothing Factory from 1945 to 1947, and the former Wismer’s Pants Factory until 1954. Following that, she cleaned many local homes until her retirement in 1990. She was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Upper Perk Golden Agers and the Open Link Senior Center. Elsie is survived by two nieces, Janet Lees of Red Hill and Donna Fritzinger of Trexlertown; great nephews: Bryan Lees and his wife Samelyse, and Mark Lees and his wife Melanie; a great niece, Samantha; and great great nieces and nephews, Brynn, Baker, Mason, and McKenna Lees. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Betty Dierolf, a brother John, and a step-sister, Verna Garges. Services will be held privately. Her arrangements have been entrusted to the Falk Funeral Home in Pennsburg.
