Josephine A. Caravella

<p>Josephine A. Caravella, 95, of West Pittsburgh, PA, passed away the afternoon of June 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 4, 1921 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Clara Apecella. On May 25, 1946, she married her beloved husband, Albert Caravella, and the two of them spent 64 years together until he preceded her in death on January 13, 2011. </p><p><br></p><p>After 40 years of working, Josephine retired as a supervisor for Reliable-Airway Luggage. A member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish, she belonged to the Christian Mothers of the church. She also enjoyed flower gardening. </p><p><br></p><p>Josephine is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Tate and husband Paul of West Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Tiffany, Shannon, Brandon, and Kayla; and great-grandchildren, Aidan, Preston, and Addison. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her five brothers and two sisters. </p><p><br></p><p>A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday at St. Vincent DePaul Church, officiated by Father William Siple. </p><p><br></p><p>Entombment took place at Parkside Mausoleum. </p>
