Carl W. Parsons, Sr. 79, of rural Bellefonte passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Carl was born on October 28, 1936, in Union Twp., Centre Co. a son of the late George G. and Inez Watson Parsons. On February 14, 1993 he married the former Marian L. McCaslin who survives at home. Carl had worked at Raytheon formerly known as HRB- Singer as a maintenance manager, before his retirement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Timothy Parsons of Bellefonte , Carl W. "Bill" Parsons, Jr. of rural Bellefonte, William R. Spicer, Jr. of rural Bellefonte and Walter A. Spicer of Manchester CT., three daughters, Tammy Bartley of rural Julian, Kimberly Peters of Milesburg and Terri Lynn Sheckler of Howard, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. Carl was of the Protestant Faith, he enjoyed Bible Studies, and was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Parsons. Funeral Services for Carl W. Parsons, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, Pa. with Rev. Dave Hersh officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 10:00 A. M. - 11:00 A.M. time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hills Church, P.O.
