Richard D. Slavinsky

Age 82, of Scott Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from respiratory failure. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna Marie Slavinsky. He will be missed dearly by his daughter, Darlene Kober; his son-in-law, Brian Kober; and his granddaughters, Kelsey and Lindsey Kober of Barrington, IL. He was a Beloved Brother to Gloria Kuzma and Robert Slavinsky and Brother-in-Law to Dora Manslow. Richard served honorably in the Korean War. Upon discharge, he began a 45-year career as a baker and production manager for Jenny Lee Bakery in McKees Rocks. After retirement, Richard extended his career by baking at St. Clair Hospital for patients and hospital employees. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. at BEINHAUER-FRYER, 430 Washington Avenue, Bridgeville (412-221-3800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Boulevard, Pittsburgh. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road, McMurray will follow.
