Age 92, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Bert was born on September 8, 1923 in Barazzetto, Italy. At the age of six, he, along with his mother and sisters, immigrated through Ellis Island to meet their father in Hamilton, Ontario. After graduating from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario with a degree in metallurgical engineering, he received US citizenship and moved to Bridgeville, PA, where he met the love of his life, Jean “Pat” Reese. His engineering degree and marketing background gave him the opportunity to work with several large corporations, including DuPont, Vanadium, and US Steel. During his career, he traveled the world, meeting many prominent individuals. Memories of Bert will live forever in the hearts of his friends and family. He was the Dedicated Husband of 64 years to Jean ‘Pat” Reese Burello; Loving Father of Mark Burello and Sandra (Gary) Seeley; Devoted Grandfather of Shannon Seeley; Beloved Uncle of William (Anna) Gombos, Robert Gombos, Linda (Gunter) Ott, Marianne (Mark) Griffiths, Nick (Dina) Grazziotto, Mary Larkin, Stella (John) Brenner, and John (Connie) Grazziotto.
