Age 42, of Cecil, passed on Sunday, August 14, 2016. He was born on February 23, 1974 in Pittsburgh, the son of Barry W. and Kimberly A. Wandel. He played hockey for Mt. Lebanon High School and many amateur Pittsburgh hockey teams and continued his passion for playing the sport his entire life. Joel is survived by his parents, Barry Wandel of Bethel Park and Kimberly Wandel of Wexford; his daughter, Gabrielle Dutka and her mother, Megan of Brentwood; his daughters, Chloe and Emma Wandel and their mother, Amber Dietz of Reserve Township; his brother, Anthony S. Wandel and wife Marsanne and his niece and nephew, Makenzie and Adam Wandel, all of Pendleton, IN; his brother, Noah O. Wandel of Cranberry Township; his sister-in-law, Tara L. and his nephew and niece, Christopher and Lauren Wandel, all of Bethel Park; his brother, Barry N. Wandel and wife Stephanie and his nephew and niece, Barry S. and Isabella Wandel, all of Upper St. Clair; and countless loving friends, including his girlfriend, Casey Kuhn of Dormont.
