<p>Jennie A. Harpster 81 of Lewistown passed away Sunday January 10th 2016 at 8:48 a.m. at the William Penn Golden Living Center.</p><p>Born October 27, 1934 in Oliver township, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Zelda I. (Harshbarger) Hartley.</p><p>Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Ralston L. Harpster who passed away in 1997, a daughter Lisa J. Metz, a brother Fred M. Hartley and a grandson Jeremy Metz.</p><p>Jennie is survived by her son Brian L Harpster and wife Amy of Nescopeck, a sister Doris Reed and a grandson Joshua Metz of Lewistown.</p><p>She was a graduate of the Mcveytown-Oliver Highschool class of 1954.</p><p>Earlier in life, Jennie worked as a clerk at the Peoples Drug store in Lewistown. She was a long time member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lockport, a faithful member of the golden star Sunday school class, the west Granville fire company ladies auxiliary, and a member of the Centre-Union Homemaker club.</p><p>Jennie was a great friend and neighbor who always enjoyed talking on the phone and will be missed by all who knew her.</p><p>A memorial service in Jennie’s Memory will be held at a later date.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Barr Funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.</p><p><br></p>
