KANE Thomas "Moose" S. Williamson, 60, of 316 Dawson St. died Wednesday (June 29) evening at the home of his daughter. He was born March 25, 1956 in Kane, the son of the late Robert and Joann (Jackson) Williamson. He was a graduate of Kane Area High in 1974 and Clarion University in 1978 with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting. Tom had worked as an accountant for Stackpole in Kane and continued to work for Kane Magnetics until it closed. He then worked as the Human Resource Manager for Keystone Powdered Metals in Lewis Run. He was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church, the United Way Board and the BPOE # 329, where he worked for many years in their Hoop Shoot program for children. Earlier in life he enjoyed participating in sports of every kind. He played baseball for the American Legion, bowled in the Elks league, golfed in KCC men's league and coached his son's Little League teams; and most recently, he enjoyed spending time with is favorite little buddy, his grandson. Surviving relatives include a daughter, Brandy (Lance) Schimp of Kane; one son, Ryan Williamson of Kane; one grandson, Henry Thomas Schimp of Kane; one sister, Judy (Marlin) Williamson-Spencer of Santa Barbara, CA; two brothers, James (Carol Yetto) Williamson and Tim "Floyd" (Julie) Williamson, both of Kane, his former wife Darcy (Steve) DiFazio of Marshburg; several nieces and nephews and his granddog Brewster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Williamson. Friends may call at the Cummings Funeral Home on Monday (July 4) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Elks Lodge will be conducting a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday (July 5) at 11:00 a.m. at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Kane Elks Scholarship Fund.
