Mary Lou Niklas KANE Mary Lou Niklas, 82, of JoJo Road, passed away Tuesday (July 19, 2016) at the Lutheran Home at Kane. Born July 3, 1934, in Springville, she was a daughter of the late William and Kathleen Sherwood Smith. On October 28, 1957, in Kane, she married Gerald Niklas who survives. Mary Lou, a homemaker, loved working with photography. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Paul Niklas of Kane and Kenneth Niklas of El Cajon, CA; a daughter, Susan Myers of Wadsworth, OH; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin Berrigan of Kane; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by five sisters. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Thursday (July 28, 2016) at St. Callistus Church, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in St. Callistus Cemetery. The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
