Columbia Verolini KANE Columbia Verolini, 91, of Buffalo, NY, passed away Monday (October 17, 2016) at the McAuley Residence in Buffalo. Born in Kushequa on January 18, 1925, she was a daughter of Flavia Seri Verolini and Alfonso Verolini. She was a graduate of Westbrook Academy and had worked for many years as an administrative assistant. She was also an active member of the Variety Club. She was a member of both St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buffalo and St. Joseph's Church Catholic in Mt. Jewett. Surviving are two nieces, Sally Bernhard of Corry and Debbie Wilner of Virginia; a great niece, Amy Bernhard of Erie; and her sister-in-law, Jeanne Verolini of Kushequa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Verolini, on September 30, 2016; and her great nephew, John Bernhard on August 24, 2013. There will be no visitation. Friends and family may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev.Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Bridgeview Cemetery. The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cummingsfh.com.
