Joseph D. Fletcher Jr., 87, of Irwin, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born June 14, 1929 in Herminie, son of the late Joseph D. Sr. and Helen (Rosyak) Fletcher. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a millwright for US Steel Christy Parks Works. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Joseph L. Fletcher and a daughter Karen Jean Fletcher. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Mary (Bridge) Fletcher; five children Matt Fletcher, of Dawson, Joe Fletcher and his wife, Nancy, of Irwin, Ken Fletcher and his wife, Trish, of Greensburg, Marilyn Schrum and her husband ,Tom, of Latrobe, Steve Fletcher and his wife, Sherri, of Dawson; nine grandchildren Monica, Matt, Kelli, Kayla, Aldo, Joey, Emily, Bobbi and Steve; two great grandchildren Ava and Kirra; five brothers and sisters Clara “Dolly” Rain, of Irwin, JoAnne Glunt, of Irwin, John Fletcher, of North Huntingdon, James Fletcher, of North Huntingdon and Andrea Davis, of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. All services will be private. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank 100 Devonshire Drive Delmont, PA. 15626.
