Lawrence Meyers

Lawrence Albert “Larry” Meyers, of Indiana (Rayne Twp.) died Tuesday September 13, 2016 in the presence of his family. Born in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of the late Aloysius Meyers and Martha (Baumann) Meyers. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Marie (Shemo) Meyers, whom he married October 24, 1986. Larry is also survived by his children: Sharon Hurd, Strongsville, OH; Michelle Meyers, San Angelo, TX; William Meyers (Margaret), Middleburg, OH; Robert Meyers (Michelle), Sheffield Lake, OH and Joyce Novak (Russ), Brook Park, OH. Other family survivors include Fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Evelyn Trivison, Northfield, OH and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Joyce (Wolfe) Meyers and by his sister, Dorothy Reilly. Larry was a devoted Penguins fan. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at 10AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. The Meyers family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association by going to www.heart.org.
