Eileen Gertrude (Schultz) Bland, 86, of Home, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born February 25, 1930 in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Schultz and Clara (Czarnecki) Schultz. Eileen and her late husband, Elmer C. Bland, celebrated 47 years of marriage in 2010. Eileen attended Holy Name High School in Ohio. She was a fabulous cook who loved to cook and care for her family. Family was very important to her. She also partook in traditional rug hooking and belonged to the Western Reserve Rug Hooking Guild (WRRH). Eileen is survived by her two children: Elmer C. Bland Jr. and wife, Nadene (L’amoreaux) Bland from Home, PA; and Elizabeth A. Behler and husband, Brian of Hunker, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joshua, Emma, Joseph, and Callie. Other family survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Howard, Harold, Herbert, Margaret, Claire, Ruth and Fritz. At the request of Eileen, funeral services will be held privately at a later date.
