Kathryn E. Boyer Whitehaus, 95, of the Ecumenical Community of Harrisburg, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, in the home. Born in the village of Union Deposit on November 3, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Enos A., Sr., and Mary Kathryn Lehn Boyer. Kathryn was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church of Union Deposit. Kathryn was a member of the Frey Village Auxiliary; and a member of the former Hummelstown Senior Center and Golden Age Club. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and bowling. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Whitehaus, on October 12, 2003; two sisters, Mary Hubler and Sara Stegall; and one brother, Harold Boyer. She is survived by her son, Terry C. Whitehaus (Leona F. Leland) of New Cumberland; one brother, Enos A. Boyer, Jr. of Union Deposit; and two sisters, Shirley Conrad of Hershey and Gladys Moore of Columbia. Kathryn had a loving relationship with her 23 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11 AM in the Zion Lutheran Church of Union Deposit, 5 West Main Street, Hershey, with The Rev. Ursula E. Schreffler, officiating. Inurnment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County. A visitation will be held on Friday in the church from 10 AM until time of the services.
